Who wants to be the only person in the world to wear (and own) this kimono jacket?
We have customers who are presenting at forums and meetings who love these types of garments as they are interesting, and have character, but are not too formal or uncomfortable to wear. And, they don't date as they are so original!
This is a L/XL fit.
This is a one off, cut from a cohesive palette of fabrics from our special stash.
The Rose upholsery print was purchased at the Vic market years ago, (remember when they had isles of fabric ? ), it was a skirt made for a fashion parade which was worn and washed a couple of times. It has been unpicked and repurposed. As it was not quite wide enough, we have added a panel of flax raspberry striped upholstery linen.
The main fabric is textured cotton in a light drill weight, it has woven stripes and slubby checks in the weave. The quality of the fabrics feels so different to work with, compared to fabrics milled today.
We have added generous pockets to the front with a welt cut in the stripe. The armholes are deep, dropped shoulder and band with 3 button closure.
This style could be worn all day in place of a blazer, or a stunning evening jacket for travelling in warmer climates.
Made in our Geelong studio. Free post on any order over $100.
